Arrive at the French Embassy, show your ID card or passport, pass security gates like at the airport, leave your phone in the lockers (no phones allowed inside).

Group pictures for ~30 min then couple pictures only
Our photographer Christina Georgiadis will be waiting for us at the exit to shoot the first memories.
We will then walk all together starting on Pariser Platz in front of the Brandenburger Tor to start with group pictures. Once groupe pictures are done, all guests can leave towards Malmöer Str. 24.
Louis & Eléonore will stay behind for some couple pictures next to the Spree river.

We will depart on foot at 19h45 for the restaurant, where we’ll enjoy a wonderful family-style seated dinner with shared plates, wines, and cocktails.
Estelle Dining is a charming neighborhood restaurant just down our street, offering modern European cuisine with a local twist. It's been our go-to spot for special occasions, and we’re excited to share this experience with you!

Where and When does it start?
Embassy guests need to be at 13h45 at the French consulate at Wilhelmstraße 69, 10117 Berlin.
Otherwise you can join us for the post-ceremony Kaffee & Kuchen or directly at Estelle if you can't make it earlier, see details above.
Les invités à l'ambassade doivent arriver à 13h45 au consulat français, Wilhelmstraße 69, 10117 Berlin.
Pour les autres invités, vous pouvez nous rejoindre pour le Kaffee & Kuchen après la cérémonie ou directement au restaurant Estelle si vous ne pouvez pas arriver plus tôt, voir les détails ci-dessus.
What should I expect inside the Embassy?
Aside from the security check described above, the ceremony will take place in a very minimalist room. So, if you were hoping to bump into Monsieur l'Ambassadeur in a room with gilded ceilings, well... no can do! The real stunning decor will be at Pariser Platz, where we'll have the photo shoot :)
À part le contrôle de sécurité décrit ci-dessus, la cérémonie se déroulera dans une salle très minimaliste. Donc, si vous espériez croiser Monsieur l'Ambassadeur dans une pièce avec des plafonds dorés, eh bien... ce n’est pas au programme ! Le véritable décor sera sur la Pariser Platz pendant la séance photo :)
Is there a registry for wedding gifts?
No. For us, this is "just" a civil wedding and we reserve our wedding registry for the wedding ceremony we hope to have in France in 2026. Your presence with us today is our gift, and the dinner will be a small token of our gratitude.
Non. Pour nous, il s'agit "juste" d'un mariage civil et nous réservons notre liste de mariage pour la cérémonie que nous espérons organiser en France en 2026. Votre présence parmi nous aujourd'hui est notre cadeau, et le dîner sera notre manière de vous montrer notre gratitude.
Is there a dress code?
Casual chic or full-on chic—it's up to you! While we stick to the usual dress code rules (no white, beige, or ivory, as those colors are reserved for the bride), please note that the groom will be wearing an electric blue outfit. So, unless you're keen on being mistaken for the groom and possibly forced into a marriage on February 21st, 2025, it's best to avoid that color 😏. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and happy in whatever you wear!

Bien que nous respections les règles habituelles (pas de blanc, beige ou ivoire, ces couleurs étant réservées à la mariée), veuillez noter que le marié portera une tenue bleu royal/électrique. Donc, à moins que vous ne souhaitiez être confondu avec le marié et peut-être forcé au mariage le 21 février 2025, il vaut mieux éviter cette couleur 😏. L'essentiel est que vous vous sentiez à l'aise et heureux(se) dans ce que vous portez !
How can I use the public transports in Berlin? (French only)
L'opérateur berlinois s'appelle BVG. Nos RER sont appelés S-Bahn (S), nos métros U-bahn (U) et les lignes de nos Trams sont abbrégées en M (ex. M1, M10 etc.).
On vous conseille de télécharger l'app BVG Tickets en avance (liens pour download ici). L'app vous donne la possibilité d'acheter :
- des tickets unités ou par carnet de 4 tickets
- des tickets pour une durée d'un jour entier
- des tickets trajets courts (3 stops en U/S max ; 6 stops en bus/tram max)
Vous pouvez aussi acheter vos tickets sur les quais des S-Bahn/Métro ou dans les Tram (attention les machines du Tram ne prennent que les pièces). Les tickets papiers se compostent aux petites bornes rouges ou jaunes à proximité des machines à tickets sur le quai ou dans le Tram.
Pour les personnes qui viennent en avion : si vous rejoignez votre hôtel en transports en communs depuis l'aéroport, il faudra que vous preniez un ticket zone ABC. Dans l'app, cliquez sur "Einzelfahrausweis", puis cliquez sur Berlin AB pour changer la zone en Berlin ABC.
